Hello there rockstar. Yeah you! Anything is possible if you put your mind and energy toward it. For example, the energy to scarf down these amazing Fajita Burgers. Cheese filled and overflowing with buttered onion, peppers and jalapeos. Smokey sweet with a slight kick to the tastes buds.
I have been making these Fajita Burgers since I was a teenage. It is the perfect way to upstage your regular hamburger by adding butter sauted jalapeos, pepper and onions. Butter gives it the extra boost of flavoring and is my preferred cooking method for this meal.

Chop half an onion, a whole green pepper and 1 jalapeo (more if that is indeed your thing) and place them in the pan. In the middle of your pan add 1 T of butter. If you have a cast iron skillet you can in fact add it right to the pellet grill and cook everything together.

Cook on medium until everything is coated in butter and has shrunk down a bit. This is usually 10 minutes. Remember to place on warm until your burgers are done smoking .

Smoking the Burgers
Burgers are the grooviest. One way to make it extra tasty is by smoking it. Smoking a burger on a pellet grill like a Traeger is the prefect way to upstage your current burger routine without too much effort. A pellet grill such as a Traeger will infuse the smokey flavor right into the meat.

Cooking Tip: If your burger is falling apart follow the next steps. Add 1 egg and 1/4 cup of breadcrumbs to the mixture to help the burger hold together better.
I start with a lb of ground beef and add 1/4 a cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Next, I mold the beef patty into four hockey pucks. Lastly, I smoke them at 325 degrees for 20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees. Remember to let you burger rest for 5 minutes.
Grande Finale : Serving Fajita Burgers

Fajita burgers are best served with your toppings, mayo and a bit of mustard. If you’re more of a cheeseburger person, try adding a slice of melted pepper jack cheese to complement the jalapeos.

Some great accompaniments to Fajita Burgers include the following
- Cut up watermelon
- Cole slaw
- baked beans
- Potatoe wedges
- home made lemonade
