1 oven safe pan large
1 tongs
1 oven mitts
1 meat thermometer
- 3 whole pork chops 2 inch thick
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon pepper seasoning I use Simply Organic
- 1 1/4 cup apple juice I use Martinelli's single serve apple juice bottles.
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp ground mustard
Preheat the oven to 325.
Turn stove top to medium heat and add olive oil.
Season both sides of pork chops with lemon-pepper seasoning sugar, and ground mustard. Add to pan when olive oil glistens.
Sear chops for 5 minutes on one side. Using tongs flip to the other side and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Using tongs sear the sides of all pork chops until they are brown.
Remove from heat and let sit for 2 minutes so the pan can cool down. Add apple juice and place in oven.
After cooking for 20 minutes, turn pork chops to the other side and cook for another 20 minutes.
Using a meat thermometer, check to see if the pork chops are 145 degrees. Once the correct temperature is reached pull the pan out. Remove pork chops and let rest for 3 minutes
Salt to desired taste and enjoy.
